In the letters Mom wrote during her cross country trip she found she had a rough start finding appropriate writing materials.

She started the letter on half an envelope. My guess it was something Dad had given her because the "DO NOT"s around the edges look like his writing.

Then she resorted to the back of her breakfast menu on the Burlington Line. This letter was posted AUG 3 1948, CODY, WYO 6 PM for a whopping 3 cents.
